Disclaimer
Craic Health is a platform designed to connect people with uplifting, community-based comedy experiences. These include Comedy-on-Prescription programmes, local events, and profiles of facilitators and providers. While we care deeply about wellbeing, connection and inclusion, it’s important to be clear about the role we play—and what we do not provide.
1. Not a medical or clinical service
Craic Health does not offer clinical advice, diagnosis, therapy or medical treatment. We are not a healthcare provider or a crisis service.
If you are in distress or need urgent help, please contact NHS 111, your GP, or dial 999 in an emergency.
Our platform is intended to support people experiencing mild to moderate mental ill-health, loneliness, or low confidence, by offering a social prescribing option grounded in laughter, connection, and creativity.
See our Evidence page for research on the benefits of comedy in health and wellbeing.
2. Individual results may vary
Craic Health does not claim to "make people happier" or promise any specific outcome. Comedy can uplift, but each individual’s experience is unique. We encourage participants to approach sessions with openness and self-awareness, and to seek additional support if needed.
3. Independent events and provider listings
Our platform showcases events, programmes and facilitator profiles. While we do our best to vet and spotlight trusted partners, these providers are independent and are not employed or managed by Craic Health.
We cannot guarantee the safety, quality, or outcome of third-party sessions. By attending any listed event, you do so at your own discretion.
Please check the Terms & Conditions and safeguarding policies of any provider or organisation before booking or attending.
4. Voluntary participation
All activities are optional and intended to be inclusive, low-pressure and welcoming. You are under no obligation to share, perform, or participate beyond your comfort level.
If you’re unsure whether a session is suitable for you, please consult a health professional before joining.
5. Content and resources
Any materials, articles or videos shared on this site are for general information only. They are not a substitute for professional medical or mental health advice.
6. Questions or Feedback
If you have questions or feedback about the platform, please email us at smile (at) craic.lol.
